EAST TREMONT
East Tremont is a neighborhood in the Bronx, it is
sometimes
considered to be a part of the South Bronx. It is surrounded by Belmont
to the north, West Farms to the east, Crotona Park to the south and
Mount Hope to the west. The construction of the Cross Bronx Expressway,
which runs through the neighborhood of East Tremont, is often blamed for
worsening the decay of already-embattled neighborhoods in the South
Bronx.
