LIBERTY ISLAND

Liberty Island is a small uninhabited island in the Upper New York Bay, best known as the location of the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty was presented to the United States by the people of France in 1886. Since then, it stands as a symbol for freedom and democracy in the United States. It welcomes visitors, immigrants and returning Americans who travel by ship.
